the punishment will be up to the appointed staff.

PLEASE NOTE!!  ALL RULES ARE SUBJECT TO THE HUNGER OWNERS DISCRETION!

The Hunger Firstblood Owned Sims

All Hunger players have access to the Battle Zone. It is the decision of the House of Pureblood's that those playing other HUD games within SL be allowed to kill on those games at the Hunger Battle Zone. Be aware that this rule does not allow killing or bitting of any kind at The Hunger, First Blood sim named Dejavu where The Hunger Store and Club is located.

First Offence: 1 Week ban and HUD shut down.

Second Offence: 1 Month ban and HUD shut down.

Thrid Offence: 6 Month ban and hud shut down.

* Punishment is at the discretion of The Hunger Owner *

Accepting these terms, you also agree to the Battle Zone Rules as well.

THERE IS NO FEEDING (DRAINING), OR KILLING AT THE HUNGER STORE. THIS WILL RESULT IN HAVING YOUR HUD SHUTDOWN OR BEING BANNED FROM THE HUNGER SIM. ALSO NO RECRUITING AT THE HUNGER STORE UNLESS ASKED BY THE STAFF.

The Hunger .:: First Blood ::. Groups

To be added to ANY Hunger FirstBlood Groups you must be voice verified, no alts and you must be in Hunger 30 days. If you have been removed from Hunger for any reason you must wait the 30 day period again.

If you post a SURL within Hunger owned groups, You will be removed, and the following punishments will be enforced by the selected Moderators.

1st Offense: 24 hour ban

2nd Offense: 1 week ban

3rd Offense: lose the group permanently

The Hunger, FB Chatterz Group

The Hunger Chatterz Group is for posting kills and chatting. While The Hunger First Blood Group is for serious regular type questions. Please ask to be added to the groups by contacting any assigned staff who can do the adds.

(You must be in the Hunger Game System for 30 days before you can join any of the groups!)

Advertising and begging of any form in any of our groups will NOT be tolerated and will get you removed from the groups immediately. If you have something you think may be of genuine interest to Hunger players, contact charliedew2 Dezno and ask her first.

Sending unsolicited notecards, IM's, or any other form of spam to our players will get you removed from the game, period. We will also advise complainants to file an abuse report against you.

Familiars:

Familiars are not to be off the ground unless they are flying up to a platform to feed. They can in NO way interfere with a battle. The only time a familiar can be in the air is to fly from one position to another to feed.

1.) Masquerade

Do NOT break the masquerade! By this we mean DO NOT tell humans in local or by voice that you have bitten them or killed another player.

( You may now speak of Hunger to humans for recruiting or explaining the Hunger game.)

1st Offense: 24 hour hud ban.

2nd Offense: A 1 week hud ban.

3rd Offense: HUD shut down for 6 months and held at the discretion of The Hunger Owner. For proof, notecard and take and screen shot of the chat.

2.)Cheat Devices

SL changes so fast, with its many many tools, that "cheat devices" will be judged by their own merits as we hear about them. The general rule of thumb when deciding what sort of device is considered a cheat device is fairly simple.... If you use something that could give you an unfair advantage over your enemy, it's most likely considered cheating in The Hunger. This would include wearing an invisible-prim, for example, as many people actually rely on their eyes when hunting you. AV followers are the nastiest thing you could possibly use in a game that is all about getting close to your target. If you have your doubts about using something, ask.

The below punishment is also in effect for rendering yourself invisible, as it creats lag toward the avatar(s) you are near, this includes alphas, and in-viewer rendering yourself invisible as well

2.1) Banned Huds In Hunger

  1. Gkill
  2. vampire scanner
  3. xhud
  4. omni
  5. xChip
  6. RadarHuD
  7. Scanning Drones
  8. [zED] Flight booster (all versions)
  9. Flight Assist 3.0
  10. Kill Menu / Flight Menu Hud / attachment
  11. Urahu Hud

Any hud using push, pull, cage, trap, Av follow/stand/freeze, all types of external flight assists, and lag huds are all banned. This also includes any prims/huds that are wearable, that lag another avatar, is restricted.

Any external hud(s), similiar to the above, if found, you will be permanently banned from the game, without warning, or any notice sent to you. We take cheating very seriously, and will enforce this with the maximum punishments possible. You have been warned.

1st Offense: HUD shut down for 6 months and held at the discretion of The Hunger Owner.

3.)Bot Killing & Sportsmanship

Using a alternative account / allowing someone to kill you or de-allying to up your stats / claim a bounty is considered a BOT kill.

Please note if you or an ally have a bounty it is permissable to de-ally and have a legitimate fight with WITNESSES (please make sure it is people you are not allied/just de-allied or your family)  however if it is found that you are sharing the blood claimed from the bounty it will be considered a BOT kill.  A BOT kill is any kill  not earned in a hunting capacity, and the following punishments below will be issued, with little or no warning.

P.S As a suggestion use the battle sim for arranged fights

Please note: Staff do check the pages! Please also consider that biting the same camper day in day out will look to us just like you're killing a bot, and you risk loosing those kills later.

It is one thing if you go to a clan or pack home and kill someone and then wait around for others to kill, but do NOT berate anyone, harass etc. Go chill and be quiet till the next victim comes. In personal homes just get out after the kill. SIMPLE SPORTSMANSHIP. You're all adults, so if you want to act like a 12 year old go play a different game, we don't want a bad reputation from the small percentage who can't handle simple instructions.

  1. Whining

  2. Taunting

  3. Bragging to humans etc

  4. In local or IM, on either side.

1st Offense: 1 week HUD shutdown

2nd Offense: To be determined by the owner to the extreme of a month or even permanent.

☠TELEPORT

No excessive teleporting in and out of the Battle Sim. Do not use The Hunger Battle Zone as staging ground for multiple logging of avatars for out of sim leap hunting.

Punishment concerning this rule will be left up to the Hunger Sim Management

Clarification of Switching Huds Rule

EXAMPLE: Joe is hanging out at the club dancing, and Frank comes in to kill him, as soon as Frank gets to Joe and hits kill he gets the message "Joe is a familiar and can not be killed". Well 15 minutes later Suzie goes to the same club and Joe is back to active killer status.*** THIS is what we are trying to eliminate. The switching back and forth to avoid being killed.

*DURING LIGHTS OUT*
You MAY NOT switch to a familiar during lights out. If you switch to a hunter from a familiar you must stay a fighter for the duration of one week

If you do switch your species (and by species, we mean active to familiar, not active to another active (Species)) you must be one or the other for at least one week.

Also make note if you are a leader and are in the House of Pureblood/Carnage group, and are caught going familiar; this removes your status within the group

Punishment as follows:

First Offense - One Week Hud Shut down

Second Offense - Two Weeks Hud Shut down

Third Offense - Three Weeks Hud Shut down

Well... you see the pattern.

If you ban someone from your land/business/skybox or anywhere else and then kill them, be it today, next week or yesterday, you will be removed. It is bad sportsmanship... banned from your places means they are off limits to you and others. You cannot ban people from your place and kill them too.

1st Offense-24 hour ban
2nd Offense- 1 week ban
3rd Offense- 30 days ban

3.1) Banned Words of The Hunger

Note: These following words are not to be used in the all hunger groups and hunger owned lands and will result in the following  punishments, which includes gestures, any and all abbreviations, and what is said in local voice chat.

  1. spick

  2. wetback

  3. nigger

  4. faggot

Retard and Re Re are no longer a bannable word, unless used to discriminate against or make fun of people with disabilities.

Note: NO kind of RACIAL Comments will be tolerated!

1st Offense: Loss of All Hunger Groups for one week

2nd Offense: Loss of All Hunger Groups for 1 Month.

3rd Offense: HUD shut down for 6 months and held at the discretion of The Hunger Owner.

3.2) Sexual Harassment

Sexual Harassment will not be tolerated.  Sexual harassment is defined as; unwanted sexual approaches (including touching, feeling, groping) and/or repeated unpleasant, degrading and/or sexist remarks directed toward anyone .

In The Hunger , First Blood;  this includes and is not limited to snapshots, textures, video, gestures, voice, in any circumstance. Respect is the most important aspect of a player based game. The Hunger First Blood Staff will take the following actions if you are convicted of sexual harassment.

1st Offense: Your HUD will be shut down completely for one week, with loss of All Hunger Groups

2nd Offense: HUD shut down for 6 months and held at the discretion of The Hunger Owner.

4.)Harassing

Crying or harassing a member in group chat, local will result in the following punishments:

1st Offense: Your HUD will be shut down completely for one week.

2nd Offense: HUD shut down for 6 months and held at the discretion of The Hunger Owner.

Note: If you are found to be copying & pasting conversations or repeating conversations from The Hunger store or private IM's you will be removed from the game, this causes drama and creates misleading information.

5.)Dormant:

We ask that you go dormant at work... if you are not willing to do so please do NOT complain about being killed (you can easily reactivate yourself at the store). Do NOT ask or tell sim owners you can get them safety zones. There are no safety zones, but what is set out and in existence, and even that is subject to change.

IMPORTANT: If you are killed while at work when you could easily have been dormant and waste our time by complaining about it, you will be removed from the game for 24 hours.

Don't get other players banned from a sim just because they killed you. This is a kill or be killed game, if you do not want to be killed go into DORMANT!  If you get another Hunger player banned from a sim because he or she killed you, you will be punished as followed.

1st Offense: Your HUD will be shut down completely for one week.

2nd Offense: HUD shut down for 6 months and held at the discretion of The Hunger Owner.

6.)Vengeance

* New Rules so please pay close attention*

Vengeance is a weapon created to take revenge on a clan. Vengeance is no longer banned on a business sim. However the following has to be applied to comply with this rule:

1.) You MUST be 30m away from the store/clubs wall. If your enemy is still in your range after moving away you may vengeance. The annimation will not penetrate the wall of the store and if no wall is up it will not show on the dance floor.

Do not vengeance weddings or any auctions, fund raisers etc.

* If you wish to use your V-rod at a wedding you must contact Charlie (the owner) to get the ok. Once you have been granted permission you must also state that in your wedding invite that a vengeance will be occuring.

Vengencing on a Linden lab Sandbox, or any sandbox on the second life grid is not allowed. This is due to the fact that people build on sandboxes, for Linden Research, and other new products to create for Lindens, or shops in the secondlife grid.

This will not be tolerated, and the following punishments will be enforced:

1st Offense: 30 Days removal from the game.

2nd Offense: HUD shut down for 6 months and held at the discretion of The Hunger Owner.

READ...ABSORB...

If you have been accused or are accusing another player of violating the rules and you need assistance, please contact your Purebloods or Alphas FIRST. Do NOT contact Hunger owners or Hunger Staff or anyone else until you have spoken to your Leader. It is better to work within your clan and pack first and they will handle it accordingly.

7.) Returning to The Hunger

Read the ruels and understand them, If you do not understand them please ask!

PLAYERS THAT HAVE BEEN REMOVED FOR BREAKING RULES WILL BE CHARGED FEES TO BE REINSTATED. HUNGER CHARGES FOR TRANSFERS ETC, DUE TO THE TIME CONSUMPTION.

WE WANT EVERYONE TO PLAY OUR GAME, BUT WE DO NOT WANT DRAMA. IF A PERSON HAS TO PAY TO BE REINSTATED, THEY MAY THINK TWICE BEFORE THEY MESS UP.

THE ONLY PEOPLE THAT WILL NOT BE CHARGED ARE THOSE THAT HAVE LEFT GAME DUE TO BAD CHOICES OF FAMILIES WHERE THEY WERE NOT TAUGHT ANYTHING ABOUT THE GAME, AND DECIDED TO LEAVE.

IST OFFENSE-----------2500L'S, NO GROUPS FOR 60 DAYS

2ND OFFENSE----------3500L'S, NO GROUPS FOR 90 DAYS

3RD OFFENSE----------5000L'S NO GROUPS,PERIOD.

8.) Secondlife Welcome area and Info Hub

You may Kill or drain anywhere unless it has a safe zone (prevents kills only) . Again if you don't want to be killed, go DORMANT! Putting a no bite sign up will not mean you have a no bite zone as we can't possibly enforce this. Killing and / or draining is not allowed in any Linden Lab Infohubs, or the following punishments will be enforced.

1st Offense: 30 Days removal from the game.

2nd Offense: HUD shut down for 6 months and held at the discretion of The Hunger Owner.

What is an Infohub?

http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Infohubs/ta-p/700087

An Infohub (also known as a Welcome Area) is a place where Residents congregate and socialize, and where there are usually kiosks providing Second Life information. Infohubs can be fun places for new Residents to hang out and learn about the world.

Official Infohubs are owned by Linden Lab and mostly built by Residents, but some Residents run their own, unofficial social spaces which they also call Infohubs.

Infohubs are represented on the World Map with blue i's

To show them, make sure that Infohub on the right-handLegend is checked.

If you find an infohub that you really like, you can set it as your home location.

Finding Infohubs

All the official Infohubs are listed below.

You can also find Infohubs using search:

Choose Search > Places tab.

Change Any Category to Linden Location.

Formerly Known as Telehubs

by Honored Resident Robin.Linden on 11-28-2005 04:03 AM

We love to talk about Second Life as a place that’s always changing and evolving. However, change can be very upsetting. It disrupts the current way of things, and by challenging the status quo forces an uncomfortable need to rethink plans and processes.

In Second Life we need to be forward looking, balancing the desire to support what’s in place with making decisions about new features as we prepare for the coming growth.

In a world that’s getting ever larger and where it’s impossible to know everyone even slightly, the next phase is to enable better navigation to both people and places. This change is especially important for new residents, as Ben describes in his new blog.

One way to make things easier is to eliminate the confusing telehub system so people can get to places more directly and find things with less confusion. Many people see this decision as detrimental to the structure of Second Life. I see it as an opportunity to move away from an organizational system based on forcing people to stop somewhere other than their planned destination, and instead to create a new one, in the same places, where we really think about why someone might want to be there.

I do wish we had better tools for zoning and especially for search in place before implementing point to point. On the other hand, those tools are critical and will be implemented as soon as possible.

In the meantime, we’ll convert the telehub land to “infohubs”, and look for other ways - art fairs, group recruiting events, local ads, news and community message boards - to retain the sense of locality and neighborhood in the places formerly known as telehubs.

And hopefully the businesses around these telehubs will also look at ways to become real destinations and encourage the growth of vital neighborhoods.

Thank You,
